Endowment
An endowment fund has been set up for The Grinnell Historical Museum through the Greater Poweshiek Community Foundation, located in Grinnell, Iowa. Started in 2010 by Mary and Russ Schuchmann with $10,000, the fund is open to receive gifts from others who share their interest in preserving Grinnell's history. Income from the fund will help provide the museum with funding for its operating expenses and other projects.
The Greater Poweshiek Community Foundation assists donors in efficiently and effectively supporting non-profit organizations, such as the Grinnell Historical Museum. Through the Foundation, donors are able to make long-lasting positive contributions without being burdened by administrative or legal complexities.

The Greater Poweshiek Community Foundation is a qualified community foundation that provides access to Endow Iowa Tax Credits. Endow Iowa allows taxpayers to receive a 25% Iowa tax credit in addition to normal federal charitable income tax deductions for certain charitable gifts.
